IoT Security Trust Mark P/L operates the Internet of Things (IoT) Security Trust Mark™ (STM) certification and voluntary labelling scheme globally. Providing IoT users (consumers) with a recognisable level of assurance that IoT provider's (vendor/manufacturer) security claims about their product have been independently evaluated and conform with baseline security requirements. The scheme formally comprises a number of organisations internationally, including Affiliates, Host Country Associations (HCAs), Decision Authorities (DAs) and Accredited Test Facilities (ATFs).
The Internet of Things (IoT) Security Trust Mark™ (STM) provides independent evaluation of IoT vendors product security claims, and verification of compliance with baseline security requirements. IoT products that successfully pass are certified and added to the STM Evaluated Products List (EPL) they can also voluntarily display the STM label (STM QR code) on their product marketing and/or packaging. Currency is maintained by the technical Decision Authority providing surveillance of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures and reporting those to vendors of affected certified products which are flagged as suspended until remediated according the STM "traffic light system" is employed on the EPL showing certified (green), suspended (amber) and expired (red).
